SHRI MOHANKHEDA TIRTH A SHORT GLIMPSE (HISTORY)

PIOUS HOLY LAND

Our sins came to an end by waydust of the holy place. Who so ever goes round pilgrimages he doesn't go around the world. Wealth becomes steady by spending it in the holy places. It doesn't decrease. A worshipper becomes worth of worship by pilgrimages worship, devotion, meditation and services.

 Jangam Thirtha and Sthavar Thirth

Pilgrimage is the only way to go across this world. The great sages have defined and described two types of pilgrimages. One is Jin agam, Jin idols, Jin temples are fixed or shawar two of pilgrimages. Saints, nuns, Shrawaks - shrawikas are (movable) or Jangam thirths.

The sins done at otherq places destroy at Pilgrimage.

A pilgrimage washes away all the done by human beings. Pilgrimage is the best source of renunciation and salvation for desires of "moksha" in this era full of sins. The place of God Gineshwar and holy sages make these holy places peaceful and full of happiness. The immortal holy place siddhachal has its own greatness. Most respectable saint Dada Gurudeo Prabhu Shrimad Vijay Rajendra Surishwarji had dwelt on this earth of Malwa and he had made it pious by his holy penance and holy preaching. He established a Jinalaya of Shatrunjay incarnation Rishabdeoji to the West of Rajgarh in 1940. There was a place named Kheda near by Rajgarh. The inhabitants were Banjaras.

Pujya gurudeo was passing through this area suddenly his feet took a pause on this valley. This great saint had a peep through his dhyan yoga that there is going to be holy pilgrimage construction on this hill. He saw an eternal peace giving gracious light cluster there. He came to Rajgarh and asked Jin Lunaji Porwal to go to Kheda and mark the place where he could see a "Swastik of Kumkum". He also asked him to mark the place. He further said that Lunaji had to build a temple over there. Jamidar Lunaji acted accordingly. He saw the place with KumKum Swastika. He started digging after remembering Dada Gurudeo.

In Vikram Samwat 1940 on Mrag Shirsh Shukla 7th all Jin bimbs including God Rishabdo were established after anjan shalaka. Pujya Gurudeo declared after puja that this temple will be called a great pilgrim place hence forward. As Siddhacha is famous so will be this place. It should be named "Mohankheda" hence after. It is to be noted that Siddachal tirth has 108 names. Mohangiri is one of them. It is said that a white snake having a gem on the head used to live on this earth. Even today there is a small temple ands hole is there at the backside of the Jinalaya near Rayan tree. The pilgrims started visiting this place equivalent to Siddachal.

In samwat 1963 on Paush Sudi 6th in the midnight in Rajgarh most respected Guru Shri Rajendra Surishwarji passed in a trance. Thousands of his disciples bid him good bye and paid their last homage to him on the ground of Jinalaya on Paush Sudi 7th. His funeral took place.

The disciples constructed a memorial temple and a fair started taking place on Paush Sudi 7th.

This Mohan Kheda Tirth is 108 years old and full of peaceful and healthy atmosphere.

The idol of the first Tirthankar Shri Adinath is unique and grand Adishwar Dada looks very impressive and gives the visitors a very joyous effect. This statue takes three forms daily. In the morning child like look, in the noon a youth and in the evening adult and sober. The old temple was renovated in samwat 2024 the idols were reestablished by the chief disciple of most honorable Shrimadvijay Yatindra suri. Most Honorable Shrimad Vijay Vidya Chandra Surishwarji. The new gracious temple has idols of Adinath shankheshwar Parshwanathji and Chintamani Prashwanath, 16 feet-1" tall big blackish (Koyotsarg) idol is situated right to main temple. "Rayan Pagliyaji" are situated at the back of the temple, Nagdeo appears, gives a glance to the visitors, who are fortunate once. Idol of Parshwanath's 51" tall idol is left to the Jinalaya. Shashwata Chomukhji is also there.

In front of Jinalaya Samadhi Mandir there is a temple of Gurudeo built in his pious memory. Gurudeo who was the king of the kings and founder of Rajendra Kosh Abhidhan.

His most attractive statue is situated over there on the very day of paush sudi 7th a fair is held. Nectar shower in this temple can be seen in the presence of thousands and thousands of visitors. Desires of lots of disciples are fulfilled by the grace of Gurudeo. Sixteen nonstop flames are kept burning salvation from diseases, form debt fulfillment of works etc., desires are fulfilled by the grace of Gurudeo. Spiritual soul peace is obtained by meditation of Gurudeo.

There is another temple in front of this one in the memory of Shrimad Vijaya Dhanchandra Shriji including statues of Shrimad Bupendrasurishwarji and Mohan Vijayji. There is also a temple of gem idols. 36 idols with gem fixtures in multicolor are there. Foot prints of Saudharmbrihapad gachhiya tradition Vidyarthishriji, Amarshriji and Manshriji.

A temple is built in memory of chief disciples of Vyakhan Vachaspati Shrimadvijay Yatindrasurishwarji on the main gate of Shri Temple. Near Dharmashala in the ground there is a memory temple of motivator builder of renovated temple, Kavivar Shrimada Vijaya Vidyachandra Surishwarji. Both the Gurus had sought salvation on this Holy Land.

Today Mohankheda stands inform of a ground and has developed in as a grand place of pilgrim. The groups of pilgrims have to pass through this place who so ever go to visit religious places of M.P. It is the main tirth among the panch tirthas of Mandavgarh, Bhopavar, Talanpur and Laxmani. It is the fifth one. There are three big resthouse having 250 rooms for the comfort and convenience of the visitors. The visitors get free breakfast, lunch and dinner under care of Shri Adinath Rajendra Jain Charitable Trust. It is free of cost. Adinath Jain Gurukul is being run in connection of training of Jain culture and religion. There is also one academic school from class first to eighth and 150 students are studying in it.

At present the progress of Mohankheda Tirth is going in under the care and supervision of Acharya Deo Shrimad Vijayshri Hemendrasuri Vijayji, Sanyamsthivir Muniraj Shri Jaiprabha Munirajshri Rishabchandra Vijayji, Muniraj Shri Hiteshchandra Vijayji, Muniraj Peeyushchandra Vijayji, etc.
